I can be minimalist about clothes but I am never good at being minimalist with shoes when travelling - I honestly don’t know how people do it. If I were going to Samoa, I'd just pack those, a few shirts, and a bathing suit. And any time I entered a new room, I'd say to people, "have you seen my pants? Look at these pants!" In all serious, I love this capsule and its imaginative quality. I love the color, pattern and texture in play. The only thing I would say is to think about an extra pair of pants or an extra skirt for dinner. In most of the world, even probably there, you don't want to be wearing athleisure or shorts to dinner, no matter how casual. So all I see for dinner-acceptable bottoms, besides the green pants, is the black skirt. As a shoe and packing sort-of-minimalist, I say take the shoes if you have space ... They seem to have a distinct purpose from both the hiking shoes and the sandals. I have not been to Samoa before but am really looking forward to it. It should be mostly 26-28 C.  We will be doing water activities as well as hikes, reading and casual dining.  There will not be a need for a lot of resort wear. Samoa is a religious place and cover ups are important whilst not on the beach etc Packing list Day activities Shorts x 2 Long sleeve shirts x 3 casual tee x 2 floral tank x 1 skirt x 1 dress x 1 Outdoor gear swimsuit x 2 beach cover x 1 (not pictured) birkenstocks x 1 hiking shoes x 1 runners x 1 sports shorts x 3 ( will be worn for kayaking too probably) active wear tops x 3 long sleeve rash shirt x 1 evening palazzo pants x 1 white tanks x 2 flat sandals x 1 travel and night in Auckland merino sweater x 1 black athleta brooklyn pants x 1 Other tote bag x 1 small cross body x 1 sunglasses x 2 cap x 1 wide brim hat x 1 I can also wear the dress for dinners and the skirt.   I have not been to Samoa and I am looking forward to it greatly - it is that point of the year here:)  We are amidst renovations and I have been living out of a small capsule at home whilst most things are packed away. Shoes are always the hardest thing for me - four pairs feels a bit excessive.... I could leave out the Hoka and just take hiking shoes? It is pretty colourful but there are some basics in white, denim and navy to pull it all together.   Anything I have forgotten?
