I like the combos of tights and booties (color wise) and the backpack with the topper (related shape), but not sure about blouse + topper. Agreeing with lyn67 about having related colors with the print mix-and think the backpack with the blouse could work!
Was that from the song "Im 'enery the 8th I am?" (Out out d%^# earworm)
Eta- here's an article about print mixing!

Lyn67 and JennNZ, thanks for the constructive criticism. Whichever of those elements is the nth one, I hear you that it’s a bit much. Although they all (except the skirt) have wildly different patterns, everything here except the paisley blouse “feels” like a solid to me, so I appreciate the reality check. And you both found something to compliment as well—so gracious of you. Thanks!

Angie, you are such the diplomat! Thanks for the 2 thumbs up. The allergies are lifelong companions, worth mentioning only so people aren’t worried I’m injured, as has happened before. But I’m afraid I took the emphasis off the necklace, which was meant to be the focus of that shot. I think I need something a little bolder with the shirt—but not too much!

Yep I’m with Rachy preferring the striped tights to the previous ones, and with Angie about your fab smile in pic 5. Personally I prefer 4 pattern mixes rather than 5 in this case, so if it were me I would leave off the leopard jacket and wear a plain one instead. Other than that I’m a fan!

Thumbs up, FashIntern. It works! Looking very arty and creative. Doing your own thing, and that's very 2019. Nicely done.

That's a gorgeous photo of you in #5. You have a lovely smile. Hope you get over those allergies - such a mare.

Wow, great boots-and the crop jacket lengthens the legs as wanted! TIt's a bit busy to me, really a pattern mix maximal look here-(each item less the skirt has different prints if I see well?)and I would only mix 2 and/or I would prefer to keep all patterned things at least in the same colorway (say, I would use here rather a neutral uni bag instead of the blue patterned backpack) but am myself much more shyer than to wear with confidence that many patterns in an outfit and so am not a pro at all. Let's see other's opinions, too.

Ugh, I also get very puffy under the eyes. My most recent trick is to use a little ground green coffee and coconut oil under them as a mask, while I drink my morning cup of ....green coffee and coconut oil. Multitasking ingredients.

Thanks, Shevia, Susanna, and Rachylou!

RL, i am allergic to everything. Seriously, when I get prick tests done, I react to every single thing except the control. This is just part of my springtime look, because of the pollen. In the fall, the mold on fallen leaves does the same thing. I’m also allergic to dust, fur, summer grasses.... I brought it up only because people have asked in the past if I had black eyes, and been concerned for me. Any more I just laugh about them, and wait for Ricky Raccoon to come into style. Do you like the necklace?

Yes, I like the dark all the way to the ankle. Much sleeker.

Aside: Are you having an actual allergic reaction to something?

....worse? That’s the way the song goes; I hope it’s not true for the skirt! What do you think? The patterns I have on include floral (boots), botanical (backpack), striped (tights), leopard (jacket), and paisley (top). A shorter way of saying that would be that the only thing that isn’t patterned is the skirt. Is it too much?

I had forgotten about these footless tights. I hope the horizontal stripes don’t do in any lengthening effect. The cropped jacket is also supposed to lengthen the legs, but it looks voluminous in pix. I’m not sure how much of an issue that is irl.

The pattern mix of the jacket & top doesn’t follow any rules I’m aware of. You like?

The backpack and jacket have their own thing going on. I think as long as I keep the backpack on my back, away from the paisley, it is fine.

In the close-up, I am giving a prime example of what’s known as “allergic circles” under my eyes. Right now I don’t have coverup on, but even at Ulta and Nordy’s make-up counters, I’ve never met a concealer that can handle these rings. Oh, also in that pic—my opal necklace.

I’d love to hear your comments, critiques, and suggestions.
