They look very different to me. I like both of them though. The floral dress is very feminine and a bit fussy to my eye with lace, accordion pleats and a print, the navy is simpler in line and design but the neckline definitely scoops deeper.

Here's a thought: would you possibly wear a scarf with it? I sometimes "save" a too scoop neckline by wearing it primarily with a scarf.

Thanks, Maneera, Angie and Firecracker. The write-up says "jewel neckline," but the photo says differently. Love that imaginative copywriting.

This why I didn't look closely at it the first time--I know that if that's the real neckline, it's too scoopy. Oh well.

Well, the solid navy looks a lot different than the floral to me, and it looks a lot more sophisticated rather than girly. The neckline may make it not worth ordering if you have to pay return shipping, though.

I find the navy neckline too scooped for your body type, unfrumped. I prefer the neckline of the floral.

Definitely worth trying. Solid dresses are always more versatile and can be worn with classic accessories for a more classy look; unlike the printed dress that will always read too girlie, no matter how you accessorize.

I posted on the floral AT dress below as being way too girlish. A combination of the style and print.

For some reason just noticed that the navy dress is a very similar style, or nearly so. The fabric is a little different. The neckline is different and could be too low.

I was drawn to the dress in the first place because it can give me a good length, defined waist, and easy fit (as opposed to sheath dresses that can be unforgiving of small ups & downs).

So my question is, do you think the solid navy would read differently enought to be worth trying? I ordered the floral during a sale promotion, so I would likely wait for another, and will have to pay to return, maybe even to get. I do think there will still be some girly issues, but am intrigued by the possibilties of the blanker canvas.

What say you?
