I find it extra taunting because I've read of studies that have shown a very high % of women wear shoes that are too narrow. I'd love to see manufacturers respond with more options that provide the room our feet need...</p> <p>In the meantime, the prettiest and most stylish options are off the table for me. I’d be tempted myself but the taller height with a very narrow shaft gives me pause because my calves widen from my ankles at a fairly low spot so that narrow fit may not work. Wides don’t always work … because my foot isn’t VERY wide, and these were just big all over. And since they are stompy too, well, it just didn’t deliver the stompy but refined (a misnomer if ever there was one haha) look I was hoping for, back they went. I took my usual size, could try sizing up (I wear 1/2 size larger than what I consider my usual size in SE ballet flats, maybe the brand just runs a little small?)<br /> -holy cow they are a pain in the neck to get off. I do not have a "put shoes on and leave them on all day" lifestyle, I have a "run in and out of the house multiple times a day" lifestyle, and being honest I think I'd default to footwear that is easier on and off. Note to self: prioritize zippers.<br /> -aesthetically, not sure I love the very wide and very square margin of sole around the edge of the boot when viewed from above. My existing stompy boots might go up to the limit of desired stompiness for me. (I'm short and have a small frame, so moderately stompy reads plenty stompy on me I think).</p> <p>To reiterate: Next!<br /> (And why oh why won't Sorel bring back the style of my black patent boots? Sob!) </p>
