Many relatives still live in Utah Valley, seem to be okay. I saw that there is a chemical spill at Kennecott, but they now say it's not dangerous.</p> <p>I was working at a summer job in downtown SLC in '62 when a quake about this size hit. I was in the typing department on the 3rd floor of an old Montgomery Ward Building that was converted to office. We sat and watched a crack appear and wiggle up the wall.
