I think these all look really good. Adding structure seems to work well with those pants.

Mona, I think all three options look great, but the first one is really fab...I like the more formal color-blocking with the casual look of the pants. They also look best at full length.

If it makes you feel better, your pictures inspired me to go buy a pair of my own. I plan on wearing them similarly to your look #1 or with a navy blazer (also a structured top).

Thank you, Karie.
Good point about colour, Angie. I am not a big fan of olive colour but I thought it would be fun to experiment. May be these will soon become a part of loungewear.
kellygirl, I will try loosening the belt a little bit next time and see if the fit is more flattering that way.

I like them best with the navy top semi-tucked. My next fave is the light color blocked top. I wore mine yesterday with a black v-neck tee and a metallic belt. I tend to wear mine lower, I think. Can you try hitching them down a little? Perhaps that will give a more slouchy vibe if that is what you are after.

The fit looks great to my eye. I agree with your own assessments. I particularly love #1. It's got a graphic touch, which tickles my own style persona.

Perhaps it's the colour that you found hard to work with Mona. I find that olive just isn't my thing - although it does match my green eyes. But whenever I add olive into my wardrobe - it never makes me happy. So I have learned to stay away from it as a neutral solid. It's fine in a pattern mixed up with lots of my favourite happy bright colours though. Not sure that's the case with you - but perhaps something to think about.

These look fab the ways you've styled them. I like them all and can't pic a fav! I need to take notes and revisit the structure issue with some of my trousers and skirts.

I just realized in #3 the crotch creases are looking funny. It does not do this in real life.
Deborah, you have a keen eye. I got these in tall as the rise in regular was too short on me. I need to loosen my belt so they sit lower on hips. Thanks for suggesting that.

Suz, these look great with all shades of blue. Your GAP mesh sleeve sweater in Ivory and blue will look good with these.
I have been wearing these rolled just above ankle length and was not satisfied with the look. I also had them tapered at the bottom which helped add a little bit of structure. Also, I think refined footwear is key.

Mona, I like your stylings, particularly #3. I find myself wanting these pants to sit lower on the hips. I think we have seen so many slouchy and low slung pants that the eye needs to adjust to a properly waisted trouser?

These outfits look fab! And you have given me inspiration. I agree that they look better at full length. I love them with the navy. And yes, you are right -- they seem to work best with a bit of structure and elegance vs. being dressed down. Almost the opposite to what you might expect.

I have been stuggling to make these khakis work during summer. I wanted to add casual bottoms to my summer wardrobe and thought these would be a good addition. When I started wearing them, I did not feel fab in them. Like Suz mentioned in one of her recent threads, there is something about the fit of these that does not look right.
Anyways, after studying some of Sveta's WIW's in detail (she has the same pair in blush) I realized I needed more polish and structure with these pants. So this is what I tried a few times last month. What do you guys think?
