Looks like you made smart decisions. It is so brilliant that you can buy now and decide later. Makes me dangerously giddy.

Love your keepers. It always takes me a while to step back from the fun and excitement to make some less feverish choices. I have a ton of stuff on its way to me and several more to try on in-store on Tuesday. If it's anything like last year, I'll only end up keeping about 25% of it when I really think about what I'll wear.

Those look like smart purchases! The jacket seems like it would go with a lot, but is still interesting enough to not feel too basic, and I really like the plaid shirt. The heathery tee looks really nice and cozy too.

Kari, I am still a little ambivalent about the boucle jacket - it looks great closed, but I know myself well enough to know that I'll wear it mostly open. I posted an actual pic of it on me in my other thread if you have any feedback. I'm leaning toward keeping it for now, but leaving the tags on until closer to fall.

Here's what I'm returning - nice but not a priority or too close to something I own already. I'm going to return them tomorrow, and take a look at the other colors of the tech wristlet to see if I want to exchange.

Nice! I like that Halogen boucle/knit jacket a lot, but the buttons hit totally at the wrong place for me. Quite nice texture to the material.

Here's what I'm keeping:

It's definitely gray, but gray with a gold shine in the light, if that makes any sense. I'd take a picture but I doubt it would help much.

Ooooh. Can it "swing both ways"...pewter and gold? That could work well for me. I've been waffling between pewter, black and pink.

Fyi, carter, the pewter color in the wristlet has a gold metallic sheen which can't really be seen in the online photos. I am toying with the idea of exchanging it for another color, now that I've got it home and am looking at it more closely.

Another thorough report! I have the wristlet and the Caslon tee on my list to look at on Tuesday. I also am aggressively seeking a pair of black slim pants. The EF ponte pant is on my list, but I'd prefer to find something more year-round for my weather. We'll see!

I do like that blazer. It is a shame the color may not be perfect for you. Keep looking. There will be other, better options.

I like the jeans and the black pants!!! I am going to try to find a pair of black pants as well.

Thanks for posting the pics. Right now this is the only way I can share NAS with you.

I was so so close to bringing home this open cardigan (find 1) - cute pattern and really comfy. Finally decided the drop-shoulders and all made it look too bathrobe-y on me. Might be great on a straighter figure, though.

Took a peek through the Individualist area and the Lafayette 148 and Classiques Entier are really nice, if you need traditional office-wear. Lots of nice separates and a few ponte-knit dresses.

I stick by my earlier statement that the plus selection is really good, although everything seemed to run big and long. The Sejour tees are nice, though the 1x swam on me. VC knit dress was too big on me too, but was really nice and versatile. I tried on the Sejour curvy fit pants and they weren't as bootcut on me as they look in the model pics - more like a plus equivalent of the Taylor slim-leg suit pants. Really nice fit through the waist and hip/butt. I might have gotten these if they had been machine wash rather than dry clean only.

OK, now it's time for me to take some time away from NAS or I'm going to turn into a compulsive shopper... Hope this info is helpful for someone.

I was already going to be up near a different Nordstrom branch than the one I visited yesterday, so I gave in to my interest in the Caslon knit blazer (find 1) and ordered it for store pick-up. Yesterday I was afraid that I wouldn't like the knit, but it's OK IRL, not too shiny, but I think the violet is a little too warm-toned for my skin. Leaning toward returning.

Did some additional looking and here's what else I brought home -
2 - tech wristlet in pewter. Fits my ancient iPhone 4s and should fit most of the regular sized phones, probably not the new big iPhone or Galaxy, though.
3 - Kut Natalie 'high waist' bootcuts - tried these on and didn't find them particularly high waist, more like medium. A little fading/distressing on both the front and back but nothing extreme. Misses 16 was analogous to plus 14w.
4 - Vince Camuto knit slim pants from Encore - front and back seams and a side zip, with flat elastic waist. I'm hoping I can wear these with longer tops this fall, not quite as clingy as leggings or casual as skinny jeans. Unlike the Sejour brand stuff which was running big compared to misses (14w = 16) I sized up on these (16w).

5 - Caslon tunic. This is maybe a little polyester-y-feeling but otherwise very nice, available in several colors. I got the black, hoping it will work in my "working at home, otherwise would be wearing pajamas" capsule.

Next post will be stuff I looked at but didn't buy.
