Are the laces too short to go through all the holes? When I got my Merrell shoes with the anti slip sole, the heels felt loose. The SA at REI said to lace snugly over the insole to force my foot into the heel. I had errands to run, and I did a little shopping too. I don't feel guilty about it since I'm not on a shopping ban, but I am doing my best to be thoughtful and mindful in my shopping these days. I have a couple of potential keepers under consideration, and one of them is this pair of rose gold sneakers by Dolce Vita. </p> <p>I'd been wanting a pair of rose gold casual flat shoes for spring/summer. I have the 5yo Sperrys I mentioned in another thread, and some 4- or 5-year-old flat sandals (which I still wear and enjoy), but would be willing to add one or two updated pairs of warm weather shoes this year. I'm really pretty happy with most of my summer footwear, so I don't need or want to go crazy with purchases. </p> <p>So anyway, about these shoes. I like the profile and the finish -- simple, unembelished, not too bulky or too delicate. The laces are short, as you can see, although I could probably tighten them up a little from what you see here. Or I can just lace them partway up (I do that with my Docs). </p> <p>I need to evaluate comfort at home. My heels slip out slightly when I walk, but not bad. I'm wondering if I can find a no-show sock to go under these. </p> <p>I could see wearing these with almost anything in my spring/summer wardrobe. I love how rose gold pretty much acts as a metallic nude on me. </p> <p>Thoughts?</p> <p>PS. In pics 5-6, I also quickly tried on the display sample of these backless loafers at Nordstrom -- they're really cute, and they technically fit my foot (a half size down from my usual size), but they do feel quite in danger of slipping off. As much as I like the look, I think it's not a wise style for me -- I am already clumsy enough. </p>
