Hmmm, thanks for your comments. The bottoms of the ones I am considering do not have the little nubs but instead have some strips of rubber. More substantial looking, I guess, and better protection for the soles you'd think.

Well, I ordered them from Amazon to try but will probably strike out. They are pricey so need to be comfortable AND sturdy.

Totally agree about driving Mocs not being great for walking. I have a pair of very nic Donald Pliner ones that are comfortable but have very little support. I do wear them out and about but not for very much walking

Thanks for posting, Aquamarine. I just came across his driving mocs in my quest for a white loafer (since Angie's VC Kade is unavailable in my size). and arrived here with the same two questions. Saw a lot of comments about worn toe areas and wondered how they'd hold up day to day. I have always avoided driving mocs , yet white loafers are hard to find. I'll follow with interest.

Robert Zur makes some nice-looking shoes, kind of a less-pricey version of Tod's. But I've never owned a pair.

Never heard of Zur. Must Google. I don't think driving mocs are great for walking personally...

I am considering trying a pair, but can only find them online. I have a few questions, though. How do they run? My heels are narrow but a true narrow shoe no longer works for me. Also, are "driving Mocs" sturdy enough for more than driving? The soles look a bit fragile.
