I use padded shorts for cycling- but could see myself ordering from T9 :)
And ETA- the 3 is on it's way to me now!

Not directly Ripskirt-related, but Title Nine makes a line of dresses with snaps at the bottom so you can wear them on a bike without the fabric flapping around and flying up. Seems like a good option for casual bike trips. I haven't actually tried them so can't say how well it works in reality. It seems like it would be a pretty easy experiment to add snaps to any loose-fitting knee-length skirt and see how it goes, although T9 claims theirs are super strong and reinforced somehow.
https://www.titlenine.com/cate.....dresses.do

Nope, no ice cream while riding- just too far, or would have to ride through town. The wind has made more than 10 miles a real struggle :/
Still debating it. The length 3 is the one I'd want for normal use. May buy that one first and then decide if I also want a 2 for over shorts/tights.

Maybe you could wear the shorts while you’re riding, and slip on the skirt when you stop. I like the idea of stopping for ice cream. :)

Sounds like a good idea to me too. Try it with the shorter versions.

I feel like when I was researching RipSkirts I saw mention of wearing them over yoga pants and bike shorts - the #2 length. Maybe go to the RipSkirt Hawaii website, I think that's where I saw it.

I think the fabric might be a little slippery on a bike seat, though. Are you thinking about it for casual riding, where you also would get off to have a coffee or ice cream cone in a public place, or for serious mileage? I'd go for a true cycling item for the latter.

I certainly think it’s doable! Although I can see how it may work better with a shorter skirt than the midi length I have.

Amazon delivered a Ripskirt to me in only a couple of days.

You can. I have both the midi and the short (#2) versions, and cycling shorts and exercise shorts go under the short version just fine. You could probably also wear shorts under the midi, as long as the skirt doesn't fit loosely. I found the rip skirt midis to run big, and sized down. Oddly, the #2 rip skirt, though a little big, wasn't as oversized as the midi, so I went with my normal 8-10 medium in that version.

Oh that sounds awkward :/ For the cost maybe I just get a bike skort. I'd want the midi for normal wear but a shorter for cycling.
It's just that Amazon takes a long time. My one jersey didn't show up yet, and it's been months.

Yes! I think you could do this. I am not sure how it would feel with a midi ripskirt...whether you'd feel as if you had too much fabric flapping around...but with a shorter one, you could do this. Only thing is that in my case, or for anyone who is between sizes and wearing their larger size, it would feel too bunched at the waist. I say that because my skirt is on the larger size for me, so it is doubled up fabric in the front already. (Because of how it wraps -- I have a full overlap in the front so the waistband is double thickness there already.)

For all you with Ripskirts- would they be good to wear over cycling shorts to make them like a skort? My shorts are thinner than I'd like, and I've seen cycling skorts in 2 pieces.
