Given that it is only 18 months since his passing, and her grief seems not to have subsided, I have to wonder if she willingly followed him. I don't mean to be indelicate, and perhaps it is in poor taste to speculate; if that is the case, I apologize. It wasn’t like anything else, really. (We were already playing female artists like Siouxsie &amp; the Banshees, Patti Smith, and Kate Bush.) She made a huge impact. </p> <p>I know she’d been deeply traumatized by the suicide of her son not so long ago, and she has battled mental illness. I hope that somehow she is at peace now.
