An emotional few days ...</p> <p>My partner and I are close in age so experienced The Hip at similar stages in our lives. Gord Downie's voice is inextricably linked to a very specific and wonderful time in my life. It's been fun/emotional to remember those times in the past few days. </p> <p>Janet, how cool you got to meet Gord and the rest of the band members. They are beloved here in Canada. Johnny Fay is married to a former (and beloved) Toronto sportscaster. </p> <p>Wow Suz, I can't imagine being in Kingston right now.
