Thanks for the advice, ladies. It's looking like I'd be a solid 40 in Rieker, so that's what I'll look for going forward. Unfortunately, the Rieker pair I really want --Annemarie boots in brown (like Natalie/Goldenpig) has--seem to be completely sold out everywhere in size 40. *sad face*

FWIW, Pikolinos seem a little irregular size-wise to me. I have a pair of sandals and a pair of boots in size 39 that fit perfectly, but just ordered a pair of booties that were WAY too tight in 39.

I am consistently a size 8 US and a 39 Euro. True to form, in Reiker, I am a size 39. I find their shoes comfortable and they are roomy enough on my average foot to allow for removal of their liner and replacement with my thicker, cushioned ones. I believe they are associated with the Remonte Dorndorf line which is also extremely comfortable for me and fits the same way.

Not exactly a Rieker pro, but did buy some in Greece this past fall while on vacation because of sore feet/blisters from too much walking in not-so-great shoes.

The Reikers are ridiculously comfortable and saved my feet during the rest of the trip.

I wear a 7.5 in Clark's, a 38 in Ecco, but am *normally* a US size 8 in most shoes. Just these two brands I seem to take a 7.5 (similar to how you take a slightly smaller size in Clark's as well). In any case, the Riekers in a 39 fit me well. Oh, and if it helps, my one pair of Danso sandals are also a 39.

In your case, you might want to try the 40's in the Riekers. I've never actually looked at their size chart, but the Euro 38 Reikers in the shop in Greece were way too small - nothing like the Eccos in a 38 on my feet.

Hope that wasn't too confusing a reply! Go for 40's first.

I'm an 8 and I buy a 39 in Riekers. I've had 3 different pairs of booties in the last 5 yrs and they've all been 39, so I would say the sizing is pretty consistent.

I'm eyeing some Rieker boots, but I've never worn this brand before. I'm a size 8 1/2 most of the time, but occasionally an 8 (in Clarks, for example) I wear 39 in Pikolinos, but the Rieker size chart seems to skew small...size 40= 8 1/2-9.. I'm wondering if I'm more of a 40 in Rieker?

Any Rieker pros want to weigh in?
