Today I followed her styling suggestions:</p> <p>- the jeans: Pine IV, from only about 5 or 6 years ago. Check out the seam detail in back!<br />- fluid fit sweater (purple and gray striped cashmere, Philosophy Dane Lewis, from the Rack)<br />- Silver ring necklace and silver dangled-hoop earrings (both Marjorie Baer, I think)</p> <p>I tried the ensemble with two combinations of coat, footwear, bag. . .. </p> <p>1) gray almond-toe Mary Janes (Pikolinos) and a gray belt, with my taupe trench coat (CK Calvin Klein), and brownish taupe hobo bag (Aunts &amp; Uncles). </p> <p>2) black almond-toe low-heeled oxfords (Josef Siebel), black belt, black travel coat (Cole Haan), black satchel (Elliott Luca). </p> <p>I also tried the jeans with my black booties (Munro Grace), not pictured. The effect is pretty much the same as with the oxfords.</p> <p>This morning it was pouring rain, with deep puddles, so I passed on the flares and wore the top half of the outfit with my skinnies tucked into short boots.<br />Now the rain has stopped, and I'm going to wear the flares out this afternoon! </p> <p>What do you all think? </p> </p>
