I like your new revised list. I have really gotten into white jeans and too am on the spring dress train. This has me thinking.... WHY do I think I need a Chanel style jacket when it will be hot here soon and I have a million and two jackets/blazers already? Thanks for helping us all prioritize by sharing your processes

Angie - I guess rearranging our spring lists is all part of that "flexibility" you talk about. And doing the list again with the priorities in mind really helped me focus - so thank you! As for my WIW, I've been in bed sick since Sunday with a horrendous sinus infection and migraine so didn't think you'd all want to see a WIW of my pj's and bed head! Hopefully back in the land of the living tomorrow.

Rita - dresses in the summer really are the best, aren't they?

Great list Shannon, and well thought out. It's quite easy once you go down Angie's list of priorities, isn't it?

Great list! I am planning to renew my summer dress capsule. It is a wardrobe hole that never gets filled. I wear dresses every day all summer long, for work and MOTG. I am interested in some new styles and I also need to replace some that have worn out.

I like your focused thinking! It's quite fun being focused too - don't you think?

I have just rearranged my Spring shopping list - just like you.

Shannon, have I missed your WIW's? I can't find them.

Suz - don't you think that a priority list changes with the state of your wardrobe? A white leather moto may indeed be a NEED in your wardrobe if your other needs are filled. For example, if I already had a spring/trench coat, then something else would fill that need spot, correct?

Rae - yes, health and safety first and foremost - lol!

abc - this is probably the first time I've prioritized a shopping list. I've done lists before but they were usually based on wants.

Thanks for the encouragement Kalli and Claire!

Love it! The reasonings make perfect sense - we cannot have you getting drenched with no trench coat or crashing the car. Where would we be without Angie?

Very focused, I wish I could get to the point of being so thoughtful with my purchases. I assume it takes a while to get to this level of maturity in your purchasing?

I think this is brilliant, Shannon, and it will focus your shopping much more. I really think you've made good sense of your needs vs. wants here. I agree, the trench is non-negotiatble. Or at least the raincoat/ spring weight coat. It might not be a trench style, I suppose, if you find something else that you adore.

You're inspiring me to get out my own list. With some guilt, since the two items I am actually contemplating purchasing are not exactly NEEDS. Do I NEED a white leather jacket? Hmmm. Do I NEED a fuchsia sheath dress? (Hangs head in shame but refuses to give in to reality just yet.)

I've gone through my spring shopping list (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....pping-list) again and made some changes, not only in a few of the items, but using Angie's priorities formula, figured out what I really NEED versus what I really WANT. Angie - I can't thank you enough. Breaking down these items into priorities 1, 2 and 3 has really helped me figure out what I'm looking for and even helped me figure out my budget.

So my spring list, in priority order is now:

Priority 1:
- Prescription sunglasses: I'm finding my eyes more sensitive to the light when driving so my transition lenses don't cut it in the car. Luckily I have an eyeglass plan through work that will help with this large expense.
- Trench coat: one that can work with both dresses and trousers/jeans. I'm deciding between a neutral colour for versatility or a bright colour for "oomph". The silver trench I thrifted last year got ruined with a spilled cup of coffee and the green Joe Fresh one I have is just way too casual. I literally have no coat to where once the puffers get put away. A definite necessity.
- White jeans: my Jeanne Bekker ones need replacement and white jeans can be very versatile for me.

Priority 2:
- Colourful dress: A couple of my dresses are getting quite worn looking and I would like to start replacing them, one at a time. Although I'm all over trousers these days, I still love my dresses and wear them a lot once the warmer weather arrives.
- Short sleeved slouchy tees: to wear with trousers, jeans, Bermuda shorts and skirts.

Priority 3:
- White jacket: leather or fabric, depending on what I find in petite sizing

I've removed another summer purse (I have enough) and floral blazer (I like the one I already have) from my list.

The only other item for consideration is a pair of pointy toe printed flats but I'm still thinking on that one.

I feel good about this list. It seems so much more organized and realistic once broken down. What do you think?
