Hi Angie, thanks! My pick of those might be the last ones...but I see that they are men's shoes. Does that really work? Like buying a smaller size of men's shoes? Never thought of that!

Actually they look a bit like the Allegrias that I just answered Suz about...if that look is Angie approved I may be acceptable looking after all. Not for major walking though.

Hi Suz,

I need a really cushioned footbed but also support but also some shaping! Some Ortho shoes call what I need a sesimoid well...a dip or softer place for the base of your big toe to sink into so that it isn't pushed up with every step. My orthotics have special shaping and that's why I can't seem to get away from wearing them, the way they solve that problem.

I do have some Allegrias that work in a pinch. I was just hoping to be all cute for once! But the Allegrias look sort of like Birkenstocks, so that's okay in a way. If this trend continues there may be more choices for me in the future.

Oh, Peri - I'm so sorry.

Do you know what I think? I think enjoying the sassy sneaker trend is a fab idea (as I know you are) -- and then just ORDERING UP THE YIN/YANG from places that offer free returns, with NO GUILT. You have special foot needs and deserve to find a pair that work; it might take many, many tries, but those shoes are out there.

Do you need a really soft, cushioned footbed with some foot security to feel tolerable? (Just wanting clarity on that so I can put my thinking cap or noticing cap on, should I happen to see or try anything that might fit the bill.)

Rotten luck, Peri. I wonder if these would work better. Softer and more supportive.

Peri -- I too have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. Thanks for the review. The shoes are cute, but I will save myself the trouble.

Well, I'm disappointed! They are so cute and funky looking, I would be so happy if I could wear them. Sadly, another shoe failure for me.

They are semi-cushioned and I think they would do great for normal feet. For me they are too hard and also there is no shape to the footbed. The biggest problem for me was the very hard rims...my foot hit right on the outside edge and the rim dug in with every step.

They are so fun looking and the leather is so soft, if you have normal feet they might work for you. Not for me, too bad.
