Have you tried Curvy Kate? I read a lot of reviews and they are supposed to have wider set cups than many of the other brands and they come in small band and larger cup sizes. I ordered the Emily and the Angel today in 30FF. It might be worth a try if you haven't already.

elly - gosh i am sorry, that sounds horrible!! i just heard of this startup called True & Co. that sounds super cool. Bra shopping is impossible! i always struggle with finding stylish yet functional bras, not to mention the inconsistency of sizing across brands. anyway, once you get into the site (they have a waitlist right now because it hasn't fully launched), you fill out a detailed survey and they send you a box with 5 bras so you can try them on at home. free shipping/returns and if you want to keep a bra, each one costs $45. a friend of a friend referred me so i am getting my box this week. super excited to check it out! i am intrigued by their use of technology in trying to solve the bra fitting problem. if you are interested, i think you can just signup on their website trueandco.com.

I just thought I would put the info out there in case anyone else had heard of the service and decided to give it a try.

I basically thought I would try it out because I don't have the time or money to travel to Denver in the winter to be fit. They offered free shipping and returns, which was a plus. However, you aren't informed about the way they handle credit card charges and retainers until after you've gone through the whole process. While I understand that they need to protect themselves from this merch. just walking off, the service is advertised as "pay nothing until you decide, have a week to try it on in your own home." I had no warning that they would charge 1000 on my card if it wasn't the type of card that did a retainer easily. I also had three days short of a week to try the bras.

Since it isn't an exact science, I wouldn't reccomend the process to anyone that doesn't know their bra size. Unfortunately, I didn't think I would have a problem, since I specifically informed my fitter of my "correct" size and the company and styles I was interested in. I thought it would be a good way to try additional styles and find styles that fit similar to my "favorites" using the fitters knowledge of the stock to aide in that. I was very clear.

Obviously, whoever did choose the bras didn't pay much attention to WHAT I LIKED about my favorite or any of the other info that I provided and was asked about.

What really tipped me off to the complete failure of the service was that the company could not convert the sizes. Having two sizes I expected--- Having two sizes with the size in the middle missing, I did not. The fitter really shouldn't have been surprised when I called to return everything when she sent me 30Fs and 30 Gs and no 30FFs (the size in between) and 1/2 the bras were American (which we discussed that they didn't carry my size in at all) and the other half were the one brand that I have no success fitting.

So, not only could I not recommend it to those who haven't been fit or have changed sizes, but I also wouldn't recommend it to those that know what they need, either.

My goodness! I'm completely baffled by the excuse that converting between US and UK sizes is difficult - Um, yes, it is a bit confusing... but aren't you offering a service specifically designed to address sizing confusion? Major fail.

Thanks for the review! I really struggle with finding the right bra size. One point last year I went to two different places (a lingerie store at the outlet mall and a VS) and got two different sizes from the people who measured me: 32D and 34DD. I guess it's not an exact science.

I've never heard of this service Elly, but thanks for the review! It sounds like they do what Victoria Secret does, which is fit you into whatever bra size they have in stock. So if you're smaller or bigger than the range they carry, they just tell you to change band/cup size, but that rarely works for me.

I'm sorry you're still having trouble finding a decent bra. I hope you will come across one soon.

I just thought I would drop by and provide info if anyone was interested in freshpair's new advertised at home bra fitting consultation.

I wouldn't recommend it.

I went in to the fitting knowing my general size, my brand preference, style preferences, ect. I wanted help finding bras that would fit similarly to the one I had that I liked. I was originally just going to call bare necessities, but I got hung up on there and couldn't get back through.

I told the bra fitter over the phone about my woes trying to find a bra (keeping it short and sweet-- the brands that fit differently, having side breast tissue and bottom heavy breasts). She asked about my band size and the size of my current bra and if I was full through the top of the cups. I wasn't able to get my band size, so I went a size up.

Apparently converting between band sizes and UK-US sizes is too much for their staff. I received lots of bras a cup size smaller than my actual size, and lots that were a cup bigger than my actual size--- with exactly one in my cup size. Most of the bras sent were either "A" american brands that don't come in my cup size (each one was too small), or "B" Fantasie bras, which I struggle with because of the narrow underwires. I got a total of 2 of my preferred brand, including the exact bra I had told them was my "current go to" in a SIZE SMALLER than I wear.

When I called to follow up, I was told that it is difficult to account for going up a band size and the UK/US sizing difference. I calmly explained that I am aware of how the conversions worked, and explained that had they done the "math" correctly they would have sent me UK 30 FF and 30 G bras to try, since I was currently wearing UK28G and GG bras but freshpair doesn't carry a 28 band. Instead I got UK30F's and UK30Gs. Freshpair doesn't carry those sizes at all in american bras, so it is a non-issue. My fitter absolutely insisted I was wrong. Then when I said I was sending the bras back, she offered to send me all 14+ of the styles offered in my size and my favorite brands. I declined, especially since they had already charged my card (could be my slightly odd card) a day early and had been holding 1000 lien on me-- which would be fine if slightly odd card didn't make that a pain in the butt. I also have to print my own shipping label--- which is a major pain in the butt to send back a shipment that only had ONE item like I requested.
