To get the legs to look properly loose, I usually end up with a falling-down huge waist, a really square/blocky fit through the hips, or just pants that sit uncomfortably low (surgical scar on my abdomen means I don't want to wear a low rise, especially not belted -- way too uncomfortable).&nbsp;I do like a loose leg, not a skinny leg, but don't always want to wear wide-legs. My solution has been to shop vintage. Levi's 501s in particular work really well for me. You get a straight leg but tailored hips and waist, not sloppy. With a bit of hunting at thrift and consignment stores (and sometimes even eBay, now that I have a better sense of sizing), I find jeans for $10 - $50 that fit great without needing any additional alteration. YMMV, of course, but for my body and preferences that's been the best way to get a boyfriend-ish look. You might also search out models called "Mom Jeans" which are usually higher-waisted with a looser but still somewhat tapered leg. You are forgetting that BF jeans are baggy on the waist and need to be worn with a belt. They should also be worn lower than the natural waist. Doesn’t sound like whiskering. </p> <p>Hope that makes sense. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/review-of-c-of-h-emmersons#post-1893693 Sat, 24 Feb 2018 23:01:43 +0000 Style Fan 1893693@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Today I received the first pair of Emmerson BF jeans that I ordered.&nbsp; I ordered two sizes in different washes. &nbsp;</p> <p>This pair is the darker wash.&nbsp; There is lots of whiskering on the thighs.&nbsp; Not really where I want to bring attention.&nbsp; The rise is lower than I want and the waist is really large.&nbsp; The jeans fit well everywhere else.&nbsp; A smaller size would fit.&nbsp; I can tell that these jeans would stretch out.&nbsp; Years of experience wearing jeans has made me an expert.<br />So these are a no.</p> <p>Since I ordered the jeans Nordstrom has a higher rise Emmerson in a lighter wash.&nbsp; I am considering ordering those.</p> <p>I also received two ivory Caslon long-sleeved T-shirts.&nbsp; One with a scoop neck and one with a crew neck.&nbsp; LOVE.&nbsp; The material is soft and the fit is great.&nbsp; I ordered a small and they seem true to size.&nbsp; I could have gone done a size but now I don't have to worry about shrinkage.&nbsp; The ivory is a very warm colour.&nbsp; Perfect.</p> <p>I am thinking of giving up on BF jeans and looking for wide legged jeans.&nbsp; See Seaside jeans. </p>
