I popped in the store today and slipped these on. I was thinking about adding the cognac color. My quick assessment is the same as Angie, dug in my ankle, so I had to pass. I was surprised because I usually don't have a problem fitting Aquatalia booties. Bummed too. But the waterproof suede is fab. I have suede weather resistant from Munro, and they've held up well. I expect the Aquatalia will do even better. I don't wear my shoes in the snow in slush. First of all, they're very resilient to whatever our northern Canadian winters throw their way. Secondly, a suede cleaning kit (consisting of a little two sided brush) brings them back to life when they get tired (like mine did after 2 winters of pretty much full time use). Very streamlined. Nice heel shape, and looks quite dressy. The foot portion is very comfortable if you have low and regular volume feet, but the ankle opening can cut into your shin. (it cut into mu shin). Some clients did not have that problem.
