I usually return things pretty quick as I want the money back. Something arrived this morning and I tried it on and took back to the post office within the hour. In the last 2 weeks I've had 6 parcels arrived with about 20 items and all but 2 items have been returned, I need the money back ASAP so I can try other things I do feel a weight lifted when I get an email notification of the refund though x

Catnip - that is a great goal and one of mine as well. I am going to try to be more particular in the stores as well. I often make do, get home and then realize it is a mistake. Lots of time and gas spent on my indecision.
Gryffin - great approach and probably lends itself well to the PPP idea. The lingering not sure thoughts have cost me in the past when I hang onto items for weeks trying to decide.
Jewell - I hear you I am often making impromptu purchases, especially while grocery shopping...

Yep, I always feel better once I've relieved myself of the burden of returns. Exchanges are even more of a pain because often I want to wear the item right away but can't until I get the proper size. I made my last return/exchange of the holiday season the other day, but I made a purchase, too...and of course now one of the items must be retuned. Here I go again...

Glory - I absolutely understand!! When I used to do very little ordering, I never got the parcels back. So much waste. Now that I have no time to shop in stores and do all my shopping on line, I have a system. Things must be tried on that day. If they are not perfect they go back that day or the next. No excetions. Now this has gotten me in trouble since occasionally I decide so quickly that I may actually reorder the item (I'm talking about you EF merino dress) but that is rare. I do feel an intense sense of relief when they are at UPS or the post office. The faster I do it the better I feel. So now I feel comfortable ordering because I know I will get them out right away if they are not right!!

Yes! Getting them packed up and delivered wherever is such a chore. One of my goals for 2014 is to buy less online so I won't have so many returns.

I am finally relieved of all the returns that have been accumulating since November. This includes the xmas items that didn't fit, other failed attempts for family and for myself.
It may sound crazy but on my last return I felt a tremendous weight lift for having it all done, and done within the timeframe for full refunds. In the past I have often let the timeline slip and been upset with myself.
Does anyone else feel this way when all the returns are done? I am hoping the buy/return phase is over for a wee bit - at least until spring.
Now I am going to join Pam and the other ladies in the Remix Challenge for the remainder of the winter weather!
