I'm petite (5') and I've given up on the Resolution jeans. I've tried both regular and petite in several different pairs and the rise is just too high and it cuts into my waist.
I got a pair of the Girlfriends, sized down as per reviews, and they fit really well.

Karie.....Yes the Girlfriends are slimmer than the Boyfriends.

I am not petite but I do have a flat derriere, and the Resolutions fit me very well. I liked them so much that I bought them in regular length and skimmer. I haven't tried the girlfriend jeans. Are they a slimmer fit than the boyfriends? My Gap BF jeans are from a few years ago, and are labeled "Premium Boyfriend Jeans" so I don't know if they're the SBFs or a different, maybe older, style.

Thanks, Greyscale! I ended up just going to the mall to check them out. I needed the larger size of my two "regular" sizes at Gap in order to avoid the wrinkling behind my massive thighs. I thought they looked okay but preferred the Girlfriend jeans in a size down. I still might get a pair if they ever go on sale. At least I have a handle on the sizing now. Thanks for your help!

I just tried them on today and am going to buy them as soon as there's a discount. My butt is the opposite of flat and I think they might fit a flatter rear very well - they were sort of bunching at the waist for me.

I am short but not petite. I'll need to hem them. On my long torso the waistband hits a few inches below my navel. On someone with a shorter waist they would look high rise (in a good way).

I am between sizes at the moment and definitely wanted the larger size in these.

I've been living in my Gap SBFs for the last few years and feel al need to update to a different silhouette. Do you think these will work for a borderline petite with a flat derriere? I'm not giving up the SBF but I fear that I'll be losing a few pairs to excessive wear. TIA!
