Tried to get Our Lady of Abundance (dear mum) to listen to some of her books, but she didn't finish them before they returned...rrrr...</p> <p>I'm happy to do an OT decluttering thread at some point! </p> <p>And re: my Finds- I decided to have a different relationship with them. I used to try to put everything in there, but was having a lot of churn.* It got time consuming to keep up with, and I'd have to scroll through pages and pages to create my capsules or do posts. I use our home shredder for this &amp; that and actually compost that shredding. But otherwise there’s too much and it piles up and is a source of anxiety. We forgot our town's shred day last year and those bags of paper are still in a closet, yikes.</p> <p>I think my wardrobe is in pretty lean shape and not a main issue. Mr. A, however, who is otherwise perfect at all times, is incapable of putting a single issue of Consumer Reports in the recycle bin and has sneakers I haven't seen him wear in 10 years. Gentle reminders and scheduling a pickup every time the veterans contact me for donations may yet yield results. White for encouragement, especially for not getting overwhelmed or tearing up the whole house. I could listen to audiobooks or podcasts while decluttering! </p> <p>For some of mine own possessions and clutter that I deal with , I also like Minimal Mom &amp; some other minimalists, even though I neither am nor aspire to be a minimalist. I started with At Least 20 boxes of paper- junk mail *curses AARP*, multiple copies of Everything, boxes of old greeting cards, etc, etc. This year, I looked up where all the community shred events within 40 miles from my home will be and put them on my calendar! I have also paid to shred stuff ($1 lb here) and spend quite a few days burning papers too. Empty files with writing are being recycled, cause I have Plenty of fresh ones.</p> <p>Extra (soooo many extra) office supplies are going to an elementary school with a migrant worker education program. In the US at least, schools are underfunded and teachers often have to buy a lot of supplies, on near minimum wage salaries. The yearly school supply giveaway events are Huge, 800 people came to one of them. I had sooo many custom finds, and was trying to delete things I no longer owned individually, but it got so tedious I decided to reset alltogether. Crazy I know...</p> <p>My wardrobe is in good shape, but my big focus right now is decluttering everything else. Will definitely be participating less than before, but didn't wanna totally drop off YLF </p>
