But usually more like jackets, jeans, skirts and day dresses. Why not, a perfect fit improves the cut and the drape, and makes an item look a lot more expensive that it was. But if your dress is a once or twice special occasion wear, you may want to rethink it. If you got it cheap/free why not? Alter it and you've got a $50 special occasion dress.
