The fabric is soft and they have a nice drape. I am admittedly small, but they were quite modest in my book. Hit me a few inches above the knee, so probably mid-thigh on a taller person. I did not get them because they made my butt look flat, but on someone with a higher-placed heine, they would look fab. Possibly I should have tried a size smaller, but I think then they would have been too tight across my hips. </p>
