It does hit at an awkward height -- too high for a regular boot, too low for an OTK boot. They are comfy, slightly big but enough room for a swollen foot at the end of the day. I could try a half size down, I guess. They fit mostly well. They hit at a weird place on me- taller than a regular knee high boot, but not really high enough for an over the knee boot. There is also a small gap at the top of the boot. Over the knee socks or boot toppers could fill this gap. I have such a hard time finding boots that fit that I am tempted to just keep these, but are they good enough?<br /> Yay= keep. Nay=keep looking </p>
