If I find shoes that are comfy I repeat! I have multiples of my favorite ballet flats and I purchased three colors of the Yesk Fly London sandals this summer because they fit so well. Having said that, I do tend to wear one color more than the others, so I would think very carefully about whether any extra pairs would languish in your closet. Personally, I don't mind a high cost per wear for my shoes, but most people want a low cost per wear and therefore more wears per month, or less expensive shoes. Also, how much space do you have to store shoes? I've bought four pairs of the same style ballet flat. Now I'm kind of tired of them, and I decided to let one pair go this year. But I don't regret the duplication, because they were a style that worked for me really well for 3 or 4 years, and I anticipate I'll keep reaching for them occasionally even though they aren't the go-to style they have been for me in the past. <br />On black versus white sole, I would generally lean toward practical.
