I think a more draped loose top or a more slim fit top would work.  It is hard to tell the length with this top;I like a midi skirt so would be happy with the current length. Like others said - maybe it's the camera angle?! I think that skirt length could be a great addition to your wardrobe. But you'll definitely need to wear a slightly more fitted top. Or, a cropped boxy top will also work well. The proportions do look a bit off here but it may be camera angle. The top half looks overly bulky for the slim skirt.. The skirt looks like a great fit on you. The outfit looks warm and cozy. ETA: it would be worth having the waist taken in so that the skirt doesn't hang on your hips rather than shortening it. I like it, so am wanting to know 1. Other tops to wear with it . You should know that I am wearing it quite low on the hips, so no tucking  is possible 2. Should I shorten it? At the time of dressing these were the only footwear I could think of to wear with it,  (I considered my knee high black boots but thought they'd interfere with the hem of the skirt) Afterwards, (on the way to work!) I thought my new leopard rint Mary Jane wedges could also have worked.
