I am not sure of #1, I agree with Dashrashi. It may be too boxy for what you wear. But it is so hard to tell on a hanger. I think that I would keep looking too.

The sart's looks more like a shrunken school boy blazer. I like it too.

Not sure that I like any of these jackets. I would keep up the hunt for the perfect one. I do LOVE the Sart. outfit and can certainly see you wearing that!

it's a knit vintage double-breasted. I have found some additional options - by keeping the Sart window open at the same time, I can compare visually. Who knew there were so many DETAILS to jackets?!

Hm, in that case, I think #3 might be a good try. Is it knit? It looks to be more form-fitting and the least boxy -- gets more of the nicely tailored look that the Sart jacket has.

I think #1 could end up being 80s boxy hell. The good thing about the sart jacket is that it's a very current (and/or timeless) silhouette--very riding jacket-y, very j crew "schoolboy blazer" or whatever they are calling it this season. Single breasted, relatively narrow and shawl-y lapel, curved cutaway hem, etc. And I think that's what keeps it fresh.

Rae, I'm not necessarily looking for that exact jacket - more the idea and that color (or has the photo been altered?!?)... Sorry about the tiny photo - these are all vintage on e-bay or etsy. I did check shopstyle - sometimes I find it to be a bit random, though - I've found stuff on my own that shopstyle doesn't pick up.

Thanks for the input - i definitely trust your eye!

#1 looks the closest to me - is it a brand you've tried on before? #2 looks dated to me, although it could be the ill fit of it on the model. #3 is such a tiny picture that I honestly can't tell. Are these ebay items? Seeing as how you want it to be perfect, you might want to wait it out, rather than get stuck with something you don't love.

Have you already browsed shopstyle?

Or passable? I am on the hunt for a red jacket that will work for me - inspired by the Sart photo. I would love opinions! I have made quite a bit of $ consigning my closet rejects, so I can buy something but I want it to be perfect. There are no new red jackets to be found this season!
