I wouldn't say the third jacket could ever look outdated, as it is very classic; but it could look too serious if paired with kitten heels or knee high boots and a strict looking skirt. It's exactly the type of blazer ( not red for me though) I need with pants for "serious business casual" occasions, but with the wrong trousers I can look very dowdy also.<br /> Key elements for me are trim fit-- not too boxy, shoulders very neat- and no baggy- saggy trousers, and footwear. That can actually be a tall order if shoes are to remain comfy and not be 2-hour pumps. It wasn't in fashion, therefore no items in the shop.<br /> Now, within a month I found three of them.<br /> The leather one was the last one (I couldn't resist the temptation).<br /> The jacket with the striped top underneath it was the second one I bought. I was very pleased with it as I thought it was the most perfect fit and colour. In hindsight I think I have to be careful how to style it, or it becomes frumpy/dowdy. Strange.<br /> The third one is velvet and bought at a thrift shop. It was the first red jacket I found. This is a jacket which can look outdated, but not in combination with my black jeans and sneakers. ( Again a friend who helped styling it).<br /> Greetje </p>
