Even though my 5'4" is a little more legs and shorter waist, and I prefer a lower rise, petites rarely work for me either. And I like that 1" above ankle crop length too.<br />It's nice to find that go-to combination and have a plan for a season. Re the Colettes, I bought regular cropped but not petite. (Some versions of the pant come in cropped or&nbsp; full length versions. I'm not sure about the velvet.)&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;I'm about 5'4" with shorter legs. As you see, these are still cropped on me but not super cropped, if you know what I mean. An inch above the ankle bone only. On the model they are considerably shorter.&nbsp;</p> <p>I rarely try true petites because I have a long rise and with rare exceptions, they tend not to fit me as well. Sometimes I will buy "short" if that's an option.
