It's hard to tell from these pictures but when I add what I see in the different pictures together, I am seeing an Imogen H shape. Using Angie's method, I would guess you're one thing that tends toward another. Maybe an hourglass that tends toward a rectangle?? Or even just an hourglass-hourglass. I find that the YLF hourglass has a more liberal/inclusive definition than most style forums (which is fine, just a different perspective).

Imogen distinguishes between two types of rectangles: The slim, non-curvy "I," and the "H" which is without a defined waist, but can still have other curves.

http://insideoutstyle.blogspot.....angle.html

That is the post on the H shape. I have found it most helpful. Both Angie and Imogen's body type theories are helpful starting points and have the same level of accuracy. I just found Imogen's to be more helpful for me because the description is 100% spot on for me with no exceptions. "Hourglass tending towards apple" also works and is just as accurate, but it means I have to sort through the rules for both the hourglass and apple and pick and choose what works, which is a little harder. Imogen's rules are spot on, without me having to actually use my brain

I agree with cceile ... I think you are a rectangle. I wouldn't think you are apple-y at all; even though you don't have a defined waist, I don't see a thick middle either. You are adorable.

What a cute smile you have herderka! I'm not a body-type pro, but my guess would be rectangle. Roughly, there are two types of rectangles: one with curves (boobs and butt) and one without (slim, ruler types).

Hi everyone, I have been reading Angie's blog for a while now, but am still unsure about my body type. I am relatively petite: 5'3" and a small frame, but I have a large chest, narrow shoulders and hips, no defined "waist," and kind of thicker thighs. In some ways I think I fit the rectangle profile, but at the same time, I do have curves: busty for my size and I have a definite butt. What type am I? I'd appreciate advice. Thanks!
