More often than not, I'm between sizes in Danskos, too, and I have a fairly high volume foot that often fits best in a C width if it's available. These Naots fit me nicely, and are so comfy. They still make the style, but in different colors.

I bought these in a wide (D) width last year and wore them throughouht a 3 week trip with lots of city walking. I use a very old school plastic 3/4 orthotic in them. Super comfy and cuter in person than they look, although there is no denying the look like a comfort shoe.

Thanks, Jacquez, for the suggestions. Yeah, the smallest men's size is too big for me. But maybe I should look in the boys' section! I'll take a look at the reviews for the Clarks. Thanks!

I have the same problem with Danskos. I ended up getting small men's shoes, but my feet are larger than yours so that might not work for you. (I take a men's 7, women's 8.5 or 9).

I've had some luck with Clarks in the past. The "Hamble Oak" might be worth a shot?

I'm looking for recommendations for black oxford/derby-type shoes with good arch support (or at least a firm bottom that can accommodate an orthotic), that will fit a wide-ish and high-volume foot.

I'd love a sleeker, more professional looking style, rather than a sporty one.

The Dansko Louise (see below) has the styling I'm looking for. Unfortunately, my beloved Dansko seems to have changed its sizing somewhat and I now find myself consistently between two sizes. The 36 in this fits in length but is too narrow. The 37 is just right width- and volume-wise but is too long.

Any other suggestions?
