Great picks. Am particularly fond of that looooong marled cardigan, and also the poncho. Good find on the leather-in-front-ponte-in-back leggings, that seems far more comfortable than full leather. Love the little cowl sweater over the shell and tube skirt styling in #1. That sweater could also be fun over a boxy button-up and some rolled BFs+booties. I've got a similar marled duster cardi (vintage 90s, baby) that I should pull out; I wonder if I could iron the collar into a new shape to make it more current looking? In reality, they come up fairly high, but the drape of the cowl effectively lowers them, much like a necklace would. That poncho is&nbsp;<i>beyond</i> flattering on you--and ponchos can be tricky. The leather pants are such a statement, and you're right, they will elevate every. single. thing. you pair with them. Full stop. DH and I were&nbsp;thinking about what to do on a rainy Seattle day, and in tidying up the&nbsp;non-essentials pile of mail I noticed I had an old postcard from Nordstrom inviting&nbsp;me to a Fall fashion show, which happened to be in 2 hours! We decided to&nbsp;attend, so I flew around in a big old hurry trying to get ready/presentable and&nbsp;find a suitably Eileen outfit. Picture #4 is what I wore. Judith &amp; Charles&nbsp;moto jacket in&nbsp;stone wool&nbsp;and black leather, F21 layering tee and EF harems, with my Shellys London&nbsp;pointy toe moto booties. One of the SAs was&nbsp;wearing Suja’s harem jumpsuit over a plaid flannel shirt in black and white,&nbsp;with black high tops, short cropped silver hair and funky glasses, and it was&nbsp;adorable! Angie and some of you will know who I’m talking about, as she is a&nbsp;fixture in that department.</p> <p>My DH loves shopping, knows the lingo and&nbsp;has a great eye, so he enjoys these sorts of outings. Other than the wait&nbsp;staff, he was the only guy in attendance, and he got a lot of “oh how patient&nbsp;you are” looks from the ladies.&nbsp;We&nbsp;were&nbsp;immediately handed&nbsp;glasses of champagne and offered an array of&nbsp;canapes, further validating our choice for the afternoon’s festivities. They&nbsp;had something that they called mini chai moon pies that were macaroon sized mini&nbsp;spice cakes with cream cheese frosting between the halves. To die for… The show&nbsp;featured some EF essentials and a fair number of new F/W releases shown on the&nbsp;Nordstrom website models (so weird to see them in person). I thought that was&nbsp;kind of ironic given the models’ young age vs what the median&nbsp;age of the attendees&nbsp;was, but I digress...</p> <p>After the show, DH and I perused the racks&nbsp;and a delightfully exuberant SA named Ashley set up a room full of outfits to&nbsp;try on in that very helpful way that they have Seriously, I think she could&nbsp;go toe-to-toe with Angie for energy and enthusiasm! The below photos show some&nbsp;of the pieces that followed me home, some of which are not available anywhere&nbsp;yet and some that are on Nordies' website but that I cannot collect for some&nbsp;reason,&nbsp;&nbsp;so no Finds&nbsp;:-( All in all and wallet aside, I'm pretty happy to have updated my cashmere capsule&nbsp;to a more modern silhouette so I can retire my bodycon sweaters and cardigans.&nbsp;I'm totally on board with team&nbsp;long cardigan, so am delighted round out my&nbsp;collection.&nbsp;Also, the leather leggings and grey silk shell will be&nbsp;workhorses. The pictures don’t reflect final styling, especially since some pieces&nbsp;have not yet arrived in stores, other than for in-store fittings. I love that&nbsp;the pieces are so interchangeable and that they also fit into my style fairly seamlessly,&nbsp;given the amount of black/grey I already have. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the clothes, possible cute pairings, whether you endorse drinking while shopping or anything else that comes to mind.</p> <ul> <li>Leather and ponte leggings&nbsp;(black)</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Cashmere poncho (charcoal grey/black),&nbsp;really going out on a limb with this, so I hope most find it JFE if not totally&nbsp;flattering</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Cropped cowl neck sweater&nbsp;(grey), again, I’m normally adverse to this neckline for me, but something in&nbsp;it works, at least to my eye</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Silk shell with asymmetrical&nbsp;hem (silver) for layering awesomeness</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Merino long cardigan (berry) is&nbsp;my red for the season, or as close as I can get</li> <li>Wool (I think) long striped cardigan&nbsp;(black/grey/white)</li> <li>Cashmere infinity scarf to be&nbsp;shared with DH, he insists ;-)</li> </ul>
