For the city I think loafers would most likely be better. Kind of depends on the weather at the moment. I have seen 20+ degree difference in temp between San Mateo and SF, only about 25 miles apart. I just south of Hillsdale mall and today we should hit high 80's but I can see fog sitting on the Santa Cruz mountains. This usually means cool temps for many parts of the city (Ocean Beach, Presidio, Twin Peaks, Chrissy Field, Alcatraz). As for trends, you see it all here. Tends to be casual during the day, nicer at night. Two functions to attend one business attire and the other casual, plus formal evening but I have that covered&nbsp; Other activities include&nbsp; shopping and hang out to kill some time at Hillsdale mall, and going to Alcatraz.&nbsp; I know the Alatraz trip will be cold, so my quilted jacket will probably do, right?&nbsp; much as I want to take sandals, for those who live in the area -would you not recommend them--are loafers trending in that area-have comfy navy ones that am considering.&nbsp; any other suggestions for that area at that time of year,&nbsp; A long sleeve t and hoodie for my morning walk/run right? </p>
