I have 2 Tahari suits and they are lovely. Very well made and the fabric has stood up well. Jcrew has some good options too.

All great suggestions! (Theory, AT, J. Crew, BB's). Both my suits are Theory.

I'd also check out the Classiques Entier label at Nordstrom, and possbly Tahari.

Of all the suits I own, my favorite is my Brooks Brothers suit. The material is great, and the suit looks and feels expensive. Brooks Brothers will also steam the suit for you for free, which is always a nice perk. I know they currently have a navy blue suit that has a longer jacket and a pencil skirt, and I believe there is a pants option as well. I just saw it in the store today, but the jacket was too long for me.

For a slightly less expensive suit that is wrinkle resistant, I would recommend Ann Taylor's triacetate blend suits. What's so nice about those is that Ann Taylor makes the sutis season after season, in the same fabric. So if you purchase a jacket you love one season, but tire of the skirt or pants (or vice versa) you can buy a single piece in the future and it will match the pieces you already own. I have found the triacetate blend to be quite wrinkle-resistant. Ann Taylor will also steam your suits for you, although sometimes that varies by location and the salesperson you speak with.

I also own some J. Crew suits and a Theory suit, and I like those a lot as well. And in keeping with my theme of stores that will steam for free, Nordstrom will always do so if you purchase your suit from them.

I get most of my suits at Lord & Taylor sales or Nordstrom Rack. I also have a nice Banana Republic suit with a longer jacket and pencil skirt in navy that has held up well. Check out JCrew and Talbots. Nordstrom's Halogen and Classiques have good separates especially if you need a different size skirt and jacket.

Interview season is in the near future and I'm looking for a relatively conservative, wrinkle-resistant 3 season (fall, winter, spring) suit, preferably with both a skirt and and a pant available. I hoping to find a fitted jacket with some length to it, and pencil skirt hitting at or just below the knees, and a pant with an inseam in the 35 inch range.

Any suggestions?
