It really is a question of trial and error with bras, isn't it. And a lot of it is error! I'm so glad you've found some that work well for you, Sterling. I hope one of them is FUCHSIA. That would take the utilitarian out of it.

Don't laugh. I own TWO fuchsia bras!

I have recently become a fan of both Lively and Soma. For the longest time the only bra that worked for me was an expensive bra, made by Marie Jo that I purchased at a local bra specialty store. It’s also available in a limited range of colors on the Bare Necessities website (still expensive). On a whim, I tried similarly styled bras from both Lively and Soma. They fit well, are very comfy and half the cost. They seem to be durable. The Soma bra is comfy and pretty, a bit like the Marie Jo. The lively bra has thoughtful details like the ability to hook the back straps together so they work better under some of my sleeveless tanks and halters; it has no underwire but it is as supportive as an underwire bra. I liked it so much, I purchased a strapless bra from Lively. It stays put and is comfy all day long. It’s the first strapless bra that has not migrated down or up my torso! No more peep show!

Congratulations on finding a bra that works for you, Shevia and Style Fan. I saw the Chantelle bra mentioned several times during NAS and I considered trying it, but I was afraid it would be another return for me. There may come a time though when I do try it just out of curiosity.

Interesting, Angie. I did have a very good experience. But I have to admit I only tried one bra style, found it worked for me, and duplicated immediately. I would have given up if things had worked out differently. Truthfully, I don't know what I would have done in that case. Perhaps I also felt a certain desperation to make Thirdlove work for me.

LisaP -- You and I share he same sentiment about bras. Angie's post this morning took me by surprise. In my mind there are a necessary evil and I certainly wear one in all public settings. I hope your new bras are pretty. Mine are not. They are purely utilitarian.

Toban -- You were among the YLF Members that first suggested Thirdlove to me!! I was very grateful to you for understanding my problem and helping me find a solution.

I am still loyal to the same basic Chantelle t-shirt bra that I discovered years ago and have been re-ordering (on ebay) since. I have checked out various others over the years but haven't found anything that comes close. I will give Thirdlove a try one of these days.

I’m so glad you had a wonderful experience Sterling, since Third Love has not been a flawless service with clients and friends. Some experienced bad fit bras and discomfort - as you know all to well - and gave up. Others are coverts like you. It’s inconsistent at best, like so soooo much of retail these days

So one of my best friends is a Thirdlove convert too . I’m super interested , but am not confident they are enough bra for me . I HATE bras , hate the way they make me feel huge and matronly, and am generally pissed off at having to buy them . I spend $450 on my last trip into a lingerie store -for 3 bras . Ugh .

Count me in as a Third Love supporter. Love the Perfect Coverage bra. First bra that feels like I am mot wearing a bra while giving a nice uplifted silhouette. I’ve tried a couple of their other styles (plunge, front closure) and they didn’t quite work as well for me, but my return went smoothly.

Jenn: that's a brilliant idea! I'm going to steal that one. If I like a bra, I tend to get two at a time, then they both wear out at once, which is a bummer.

I'm a convert to non-underwire lightly padded bras like this one, but to each her own!

I am not a fan of bras. I wear them by necessity.

None of my bras fit me after having lost weight. YLF encouraged me to get a good bra fitting and buy new bras. I couldn't argue with the logic.

I went to Nordstrom and Belks for new bra fittings. I wholly disagreed with the expert(s) doing the fitting. If being unable to breath and living in pain was the end result of a "good fitting bra," I was determined to go braless.

Of course, I wrote posts about my bra fitting angst. Thirdlove was recommended to me. I tried Thirdlove and never looked back.

To be honest, I only tried one bra style from Thirdlove. The first style fit me out of the box so I duplicated. I currently own two bras that fit me like a dream. They are as comfortable as a bra can be.

If you are feeling like you might have fit issues, I suggest you try them.
