My old one is a Conair and the light is not terribly bright on mine either -- I don't realize and leave mine on sometimes too!</p> <p>We are about to get better lights installed in our bedroom, and we have a lot of windows, but I'd rather have too much light than not enough. I bought it about 3 years ago. &nbsp;I had thought it was 10X but it must only be 7X per the description. The light is not very bright even on high. It is easy to accidentally leave it on without noticing. I like the oval shape. I've seen them and the effect is stunning. They are in the region if £100 which I think is a lot for a mirror but they are amazing. I haven't quite had the courage for that level of investment but may be one day. I will see if I can link the details or take a photo - I'm sure there must be a supplier nearer to you. The old one was pretty makeshift -- a cheap small table with an antique mirror on top and antique stool which came from my childhood home. </p> <p>I bought a new vanity with a fold-up mirror, and matching stool, and put it together last night. Now I need to replace my old lighted mirror because it doesn't really produce enough light or magnification for my taste.</p> <p>Any recommendations for a tabletop lighted mirror with good bright light, and a good magnification side? A clean contemporary style is preferred. I have found one from Conair on Amazon that looks promising but thought I'd ask if you all have any experience you'd like to share. </p>
