NY has high tax on clothing and Jersey did not. If we would do sizable shopping ( back to school, Christmas) NY stores on border would scream. Got to point where local papers would carry articles that NY residents would be expected to voluntarily submit tax revenue for purchases and there would be cases where tax authorities would sit in parking lots of malls taking down NY license plate info so a letter requesting tax payment could be made.<br /> Online use to be only for presence. Now- well- welcome to the new world.<br /> This was the importance of the last election and now the mid terms here in the states.
