I never would have thought of hot pink - what a novel idea! I have a V-neck tee in that color but I'm not sure the shape would work. Maybe I should make a "what color goes with olive?" color lab post with various layering tops I could wear with the dress. My eye hasn't adjusted to pairing brights with olive yet, but I'm really willing to take a bash at anything.</p> <p>Jennifer, thanks! I've never worn a nude shoe before and can't believe I waited so long to try it. They seem to be all over this season. You had another great week, and I love all the variety in your silhouette, especially with wearing a lot of dresses. That's harder to accomplish than you would think! </p> <p>The olive dress is my favorite; it's a great color for you, and I like all the subtle and metallic colors you used with it. </p> <p>The navy dress is a perfect shape for you, and I think you did a great job with the pin and the hat, but I run into the same trouble with my black ruched dress; the dress is so strong in its personality and shape I feel like any accessory I try to add almost feels like a costume or gets swallowed up the dominance of the dress. (Not that the dress being dominant is a bad thing; it's just different after wearing knit dresses that you can add a million different accessories to and change up the look of with each wearing.) That said, I don't think it's impossible for either of us to wear the dress well; the best look I created for my ruched one was to simply let the dress be the focus point of the outfit, and I kept my accessories to a minimum. I chill pretty easily, and I really appreciate being able to wear a light summer dress that looks seasonally appropriate, but stay warm with leggings (in addition to my typical camisole for modesty purposes.)
