So €49,00 is just 49 euros. 490,00 would be 490 euros. It does get confusing in the 1000s since 4,900,00 is €4900 but could look like €4,90,000 to someone who isn't looking too carefully! When I go on a website and something costs E49,00 is that 49 Euros or 490 Euros or 4 thousand nine hundred Euros? I'm confused because we use a period or decimal point to seperate dollars from cents and online there is a comma and I don't know what to make of it.
