They're from American Eagle Outfitters, believe it or not. I got a GC for my birthday and I figured I'd end up spending it on underwear/camis (I feel a little too old for much of their stuff) but they'd just gotten in their jean stock for fall. I tried straight legs but they weren't working, so I got these bootcuts instead. AE is one of the few places I can get jeans that actually fit properly in the rise. Nice to hear they look good!

Oh la la! Superb little dress and the floral flops are SWEET. Pretty, pretty, pretty. Love the yellow bag.

Dear girl, send back the shoes that rub. We can’t have that! Sat goodbye.

Those jeans are fabulous. They look splendid! What brand are they?

I love your fresh and youthful summery dress and red polka dot blouse too. The black flower shoes are very fun.
The tan shoes look a bit long for your foot, which isn't really too bad but you did mention that you felt they made your feet look very long. I like the woven texture of the shoes but don't hurt your feet. Ouch.
My first and only pair of flats are the Me Too Swann's. They slip off my heel when I walk because it seems like my feet work their way up to the toe end. I put a foot pad in them today but they are still slipping. It is not comfortable to have my shoe slip off with each step. I hope to find a sole insert that is thicker to raise my foot up enough that it might fit tighter.
Speaking of shoes slipping. Now I'm really getting off topic. Sorry. The pamphlet that came with the Certain Dry antiprespirent said to put on the feet to keep from sweating, and slipping, and getting blisters. I have been doing that and it does help a lot. Feet stay dry!

I love your outfits, totally adorable! The dress is so pretty and the black sandals are cute with it. I like the polka-dot blouse and the yellow bag combo a lot. And I'll echo everyone else on the brown flats.

I also often get the heel running problem. Some ideas I've tried that worked somewhat: using Band-Aid blister stick, heel inserts, or just keeping bunch of thick cushy Band Aids with me and putting them on the back of mu heels at the very first sign of discomfort!

Agree...the black sandals are cute with the dress, and don't bother with shoes that hurt your feet, especially if you're not crazy about them!

Thanks ladies! I also love polkadots (a polkadot dress is something I've wanted for a while now... someday!) and I can't recommend yellow bags enough. It's probably my favourite accessory ever. I'm glad to hear the black flops work okay with the dress- I'll combine them more often. I got some heel inserts for the flats to help break them in (but my heels will need a week or so to heal- ugh). For some reason flats always rub my heels, it's uncanny. Generally if I put in inserts they stop hurting and eventually they break in and after that it's all gravy. Does anyone else get that, with flats rubbing your heels? Every time for me, I swear.

The outfits are fantastic and I think the black sandals work just fine. They are pretty bare, so it's not overwhelming. The neutral flats are fine, especially with the other color you have happening. But if they are not comfortable, I'd move on.

The dress is adorable on you. So youthful and summery and fresh.

Love, love love the yellow purse. That's my next purchase. That entire jeans outfit is really nice.

Hi Lannie...the black flowery sandals are adorable. They look nice with that dress, and would also look nice with jeans, dressy slacks, skirts.

The other shoes are attractive, but if they rub your heels raw, then don't clutter your closet with them.

Love your polkadotted top though! I love polkadots!

So I've brought some shoes out of the back of the closet, and acquired a pair of hand-me-downs, and I'm trying to sort out how to work them into outfits. The first outfit is my sundress with a pair of flowery flops I've had for years. I love them because I think they're adorable and they're a vegan brand (Matt & Nat) but sometimes I have trouble working black shoes into my outfits. I thought maybe they would work with the dress because it has bits of black in the pattern and there's a line of black stitching a little above the hem:
http://i283.photobucket.com/al...../July7.jpg
I'm used to wearing this dress with gold footwear so I'm just not sure that this is working. It feels like they're too dark for the outfit.

The second outfit has a pair of peep-toe flats that my mom decided she didn't like and passed on for me to try out. Here they are:
http://i283.photobucket.com/al.....tal743.jpg
When I look at them I think they'd be much cuter if they were in a bright colour instead- they seem bland to me. I don't really wear earth tones either, but I tried to make them work today (they rubbed my heels raw, unfortunately):
http://i283.photobucket.com/al...../July9.jpg
I feel like they look a little dowdy and make my feet look strangely long. I love the idea of peep-toe flats... just not these ones.
I dunno, any opinions?
