My favorite is Blistex Five Star Lip Protection. It has SPF of 30,no yuckiness and it's really inexpensive. I have multiples stashed everywhere.

Fresh Sugar is my go-to everyday lip product. LOVE these balms and have re-purchased several times even though it is >$20 for a lip balm (which is expensive).

For actual protection when hiking or at the beach (when I seriously need sun protection), I like the "All Good" SPF20 coconut (or plain) lip balm with 8% zinc oxide. It doesn't make my lips whiter and is $4 or so at Whole Foods. It is one of the very very few mineral-based formulations and the only one I've ever found that works at the beach.

Aquaphor SPF 30. It's what the dermatologist recommended for me.

One of my everyday ones went through the washer once so all the writing has worn off - I think it was a Kiss My Face brand, because it's oval not round. My other go-to is the Chapstick Sun Defense SPF 25, which I can't find online right now so it might have been discontinued (sob).

A lot of people like the Fresh ones, available clear or tinted, but they're too soft and goopy for me - I've had them melt in my pocket or in my purse when it's warm. I don't think they're a super-high SPF but they do have some.

I got a rec here for tinted lip balms and sheer lipsticks recently; I think it was Aida that recommended the Maybelline Baby Lips tinted balms. I've tried the cherry and the grape and they're both nice, but only SPF 20.

Lip balm or lipstick, clear or color...as long as it doesn't smell and taste like medicine. I have a Carmex one and it is awful!

SPF 30 or higher would be great, as long as it isn't nasty, thick and stinky. I'll settle for SPF 15 if higher means yuckier!
