A non profit organization I belong to benefits from this because Dillards donates the trade ins to us and we sell them in our thrift store. We make a lot of money (relatively) from these bags. The money goes to our several programs such as the food pantry for low income senior citizens. I really love Dillards for their generosity.</p> <p>I love Coach and think the color is great. It has held up well and&nbsp;I don't feel like the color is dated. Interesting about the rolled handles concerns. &nbsp;I think my bag collection is about 50/50 rolled handles and flatter straps. &nbsp;I never had comfort issues,&nbsp;&nbsp;but now will double check for that possibility when purchasing. Cranberry, black or chestnut would be my choices; I'd shy away from the camel because it could show dirt more easily and thus look tired sooner. Others have made great points already. I wouldn't worry about the color dating; I'd consider more carefully whether you think you would tire of the color or how many of your clothes it would go with. FWIW, I've found a purple bag that I have to be extremely versatile--it goes with other colors and neutrals that I wear. I think most satchels do. &nbsp;However, Von is right to point it out because&nbsp;you can feel rolled handles. Whether you can feel them and the bother you (Von) or you can feel them and they don't bother you in the slightest (me) is personal, but could affect your happiness factor.&nbsp;</p> <p>For color, I'd make a decision based on how big an investment this bag is for you, how long you want to carry it and if you have a specific need you are filling. &nbsp;If this is a big investment, then I vote for a basic black. &nbsp;It will have the longest longevity and go with the most winter items. Also, you hair is dark, so black is a good natural bookend, which means more style longevity and more ability to wear it harmoniously with outfits. &nbsp;</p> <p>How long you want to carry it...that's a big one. &nbsp;Black is going to&nbsp;be easiest to cover up wear on. &nbsp;A caramel or camel bag is lovely, but it is going to show dirt faster. &nbsp;That lovely cranberry or fuchsia? It is going to be bad. It will show dirt and you won't be able to cover up scratches with dye if need be. Coach says that their leather is glove dyed, so dyed all the way through and suggests that means you'll never have to touch it up with color. Not entirely true. &nbsp;Only like 75% true about no touch ups.&nbsp;</p> <p>Specific need? Is what you are really looking for a great bag to elevate your style and give you a color boost? &nbsp;Will you tie this color into your jackets with a scarf that you'll always wear in a pattern or color that coordinates with it?
