Ironically, i have owned my first pair of SAS sandals for 4 days. Looking for sturdy comfortable pair that could work for meals out and lots of sightseeing as we visit Liguria, I stumbled upon a pair that has 3 adjustment points and honors my feet. The prettiest pair of SAS sandals didn't work, but by the time we figured that out, I was in love with the footbed, so I compromised slightly on style for function and I'm still happy. </p> <p>Like some others, SAS try-ons made me swallow hard after buying them for my father for 15 years; even laughed with the salesman about it, as he had helped us. Mr. Eliza has worn SAS sneaker type shoes for years though and they have saved his feet. </p> <p>So, never say never. I wore a black nubuck version for years and years. My most recent pair, bought for Paris 3 years ago, 10 1/2 N, are now too narrow in the toes and too broad in the heel.</p> <p>Never thought of wearing white ones. They look pretty good on you. Maybe I'll go to the SAS store and see what they have. I've done well with their walking sandals too. Definitely for serious walking, but some of them aren't too bad looking.</p> <p>Happy walking!
