We three (DH, DD and I) stayed up for both game 5 and 6 so we could be sure to witness this historic event. We Canadians live in a small country (population-wise) and are often overshadowed by our big cousin to the south, so it's extra sweet when we get a little moment in the spotlight :)</p> <p>The Warriors were a class act; it was like watching ballet to see Stephen Curry on the court - like his feet don't touch the ground - and his immediately gracious response to our win yesterday was the stuff of a true gentleman. Of course, our MVP Kawhi Leonard stole all our hearts this year with his calm, zen-like attitude. (not to mention our beloved KLo and the rest of the team).</p> <p>And for any Warriors fans who were watching Game 5 - most Canadians were mortified to realize that Kevin Durant was injured - hoping he makes a full and swift recovery, and so sorry for any offense caused by the initial reaction at the game. Guaranteed we'll put it right when he steps onto the court in Toronto next season.</p> <p>Hope all my Canadian fab friends enjoy the celebrations today! </p>
