No, I batch all my returns together from multiple orders and use whatever mailing label I have handy. Sometimes I use labels from orders that are not even included with the returns. They always get the items in the returns credited accurately. Many kudos to the Nordstrom mail order staff who manage to sort all this out.

I have never had a problem with this, or combining returns from different orders in one box, and sending with just label, as long as you have the right return forms/info. included in the box. And I have sent back dozens and dozens of packages back to Nordies!

Well. I will probably just re- print them. Long for the days when an invoice/label was enclosed with each shipment.

I think each shipping label has identifying bar codes. This could really mess up your returns.

I would call Nordstrom to find out. I think that sometimes there are barcodes and other identifying information on the return labels that are keyed to specific orders. Better safe than sorry.

I’ve had them confuse my returns: two items in a box and they couldn’t tell they were from the same person. Then I got a survey and I mentioned that and then magically they figured it out!

I would call Nordstrom online just to be sure, I would not want them to confuse my returns.

Does Nordstrom get confused if you use leftover shipping labels with other items?

I used to do this when most items came with invoices and sticky labels because sometimes in s multiple order I’d return one item right away and
another later.

Since now I have to print a lot of return labels I usually use the “ matched” return slip with its USPS return label that I tape on.
But my printer went cray- cray and printed the labels off - center and I can’t reprint tomorrow. The item part is okay but the postage part is off-kilter so I was afraid to use ( I COULD ask my friendly postman, but..)
However I have extra sticky labels from items I’ve kept.

I thought I’d read somewhere that that might result in confusing barcodes or something and the wrong item get checked in by the Nordies staff processing the return.
It would be so great if I could just use the leftovers labels I have. I do have items boxed separately, so not mixing up parts of different orders.

I may be trying to make rocket surgery out of a molehill, or something.
What say you?
