However it does seem like you don’t especially love it….. so I get why you are passing it on. I completely agree that greys are hard! You would think gray would be so easy, but it often seems off to me. Also I think for people with warmer hair tones it’s even more difficult. I actually have a lightweight Cos scarf in a strong yellow that would look great with that brown blazer. Jacket sleeves are often a little long on me as I have short little Tyrannosaurus arms. It's 5:00 here in Chicagoland, and I got tired of that outfit and put on my orange cozy pants. I think Irina has hit on it, the dress is not that versatile for my life now. The other thing I realized is that I don't enjoy wearing leggings all that much. They're better than pantyhose, but the waistband still pinches me at the end of the day. So that dress is going in the goodbye pile. I have a couple other Jersey sheath dresses that I wore often to work, so I will probably be trying them out as well to see if they meet the same fate. The dress, ah the dress. I can see it presents problems. Greys are hard, as you say, or can be. I like it with the combat boots/ tights best. You could also go with a pointed toe black bootie.  I'm a bit of LJP's opinion that the whole ensemble would work better as such  if the colour of your topper were repeated elsewhere in the outfit. I’ll be honest in saying I’m not a fan of the dress ensembles as they are here . The high contrast between the topper and dress might work better if that pink / yellow/ olive were repeated somewhere else in the outfit . If you wanted to keep it simpler , I’d just go with a black jacket and refined footwear ….or with the combat boots you could try a black denim jacket to tie together the casual components . I was trying to see if this jersey snake print dress was a keeper. It's super comfortable and layers well, but without some kind of topper, it makes me look like a rectangle. I started with gray suede tall boots, and decided that the grays weren't that close. The boots are warm gray and the dress is a cool gray. (Grays are hard.) Also, I could barely zip them up, the zipper was so stiff. Does soap on a zipper really work? So I switched to black combat boots, which blend in with the leggings just fine. I like the pink jacket, but wanted to try something else. The next step was the green utility vest, and I like the lines of it, but I think there isn't enough contrast with the dress. This might be the rainy day speaking. You might note the 3/4 sleeves on the dress, argh. My last resort was a mustard yellow sweater wrap thing. Very cozy and forgiving. #5 is a bonus pic of a black and brown combo. Boden velvet blazer, faux leather pants, brown suede booties. All opinions and ideas welcome!
