All of a sudden, I remembered where in pop culture I had seen this item, and it is the Karen Allen kidnapping scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones), 1981.</p> <p>A memorable scene with lots of action, set in the&nbsp; street of Cairo on a sunny, leisurely morning interrupted by men with knives and scimitars. Good thing she wore a low heel.</p> <p>This outfit is apparently more memorable than I realized, because it is an established Halloween costume, often a couples costume, alongside Indiana Jones. The whole outfit is cute, but I particularly like the low-heel wedge. That sounds like a great shoe to wear with these pants.&nbsp; </p>
