Actually I already have a very similar shoe in taupe that cost again half the price of the Ash, but because I wear them so much and it's clear they aren't going to last that long, I thought it made sense to look for a little better quality. I haven't seen any Ash shoes in person, but I have read good things. Nevertheless you are making me rethink. You would get slot of wear out of them. But if you are looking at boots like the ash in 4, there are many versions of this shoe out now. I know they are quite popular, and it makes me feel like a bit of a follower, but for some reason the style is just really speaking to me. They are pretty hard to track down, especially if I don't want to pay import duties. The Pistol style from Acne is pretty similar but doesn't have quite the same thing going on and is actually slightly more expensive. There is a much more reasonably priced bootie from Ash that is cute, but it's not quite chunky enough. I don't normally spend this much on shoes, but for various reasons I need not to buy clothes for awhile, and being a boots girl I know I would wear the heck out of these if they are comfortable as they are supposed to be. I wouldn't mind finding something cheaper though. Any thoughts are welcome... I am thinking of ordering boots and I am not sure what size to go with. In the US I usually wear a 6 or 6.5 depending on the brand/shoe. In Germany I usually buy 37 as there are no half sizes, but it seems a 37 R&B would be a true 7. Thoughts?
