I just got an email from myshape.com advertising the 5-piece kit. Nice idea! Hard to actually find the kit on the myshape site though.

How smart! Along these same lines, there used to be a maternity wardrobe in a box -- maybe they still make it. Very easy and easy on the budget.

I was reading my O magazine yesterday and came across this. Apparently you can buy the kit at Macy's. For only $220, you get five pieces:

- a white shirt
- a french blue shirt
- a charcoal skirt
- black trousers (or charcoal - your choice)
- charcoal jacket

All designed to mix-and-match. I've been googling and can't find it online but there are mentions of the kit on blog sites and on Rafaella's site there are some videos, if you are interested.

I thought this was such a great idea, especially for those who are starting out in the corporate world and/or are interviewing and money is tight. Of course you'd still have to add accessories, shoes, etc to personalize the look, but still! All these basic pieces for $220? Quite a deal.

Rafaella is a brand I'm familiar with - many of my very first suits were this brand - so unless they've changed dramatically over the years, it will probably fit those of us who are petite too.
